DecentralizedAddresses Chrome extension

After much discussion around the @replies subject I started thinking about a system that could automatically resolve social network addresses no matter where they appear. I then decided to try the approach of writing a Chrome extension that could do the job.

The DecentralizedAddresses extension is in development and is available on github for anyone to contribute. As my JavaScript skills are not very good, any help would be highly appreciated.

  1. Nice idea! It works fine here (Mac OSX 10.6.2, Chrome 5.0.342.1). I'll let you know if I find any bug or have a patch to contribute. 🙂

    1. Great, thanks!

I'm now working on supporting *any* address with the format. I'll push changes to github soon.

If you have any other feature idea just let me know.

  2. Hello would you mind letting me know which webhost you’re working
with? I’ve loaded your blog in 3 different web browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot quicker then most.
Can you recommend a good hosting provider at a honest price?

    Thanks, I appreciate it!

  3. Aw, this was an exceptionally nice post. Spending some time and actual effort to produce a top notch
    article… but what can I say… I put things off a whole
lot and never manage to get anything done.

  4. Nice post. I learn something totally new and challenging on websites
I stumbleupon every day. It’s always helpful to read articles from other writers and practice a little something
    from their web sites.

  5. I’ve been surfing online greater than three hours these days, but I never discovered any fascinating article like yours.

It’s pretty value enough for me. In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers made good content material as you
probably did, the net shall be much more helpful than ever before.

  6. I leave a response when I especially enjoy a post on a blog
or if I have something to add to the conversation. It’s
triggered by the passion communicated in the post I read.
And after this post DecentralizedAddresses Chrome extension | Bruno Pedro.
    I was actually moved enough to create a thought ;
) I do have a couple of questions for you if you do
not mind. Is it simply me or does it look
like some of these comments look like they are written by brain dead people?
😛 And, if you are posting at additional sites, I would like to keep up with you.
Could you make a list all of all your communal pages like your Facebook page,
    twitter feed, or linkedin profile?

  7. What you said was actually very reasonable. But, think on this, what if you added a little
content? I am not saying your information isn’t good,
however what if you added something that makes people want more?
I mean DecentralizedAddresses Chrome extension | Bruno Pedro is a little plain. You should peek at
Yahoo’s home page and see how they create news headlines to
get viewers to open the links. You might add a related video or
a pic or two to get people excited about what you’ve got
to say. Just my opinion, it could bring your posts a little livelier.

  8. Admiring the hard work you put into your blog and detailed information you offer.
It’s good to come across a blog every once
in a while that isn’t the same old rehashed information. Wonderful read!
I’ve bookmarked your site and I’m adding your
RSS feeds to my Google account.

What do you think?
